Nexus Mod Manager is fine, Mod Organizer is better IMO (although I'm not sure if it works with other Bethesda games and not only Skyrim), but it doesn't matter as long as you use one, as the organization advantage and the risk reduction they bring is just too good to pass up.Vault Dweller: Where were the mutants coming from? I HIGHLY suggest you to use a mod manager next time tho. It'll practically redownload the entire game and get you back to default. To do so, if you don't want to lose your mods, make a copy of your current data folder, then delete it and run local cache validation through Steam. The error message looks clear enough you're either missing that master file entirely, you're having a load order issue with it or something happened to it (corrupted, can't be read).įirst of all, make sure the FalloutNV.esm gets detected and loaded before anything else in FNVEdit, if it provides any load order setting function if it's already on top of the load order (lowest possible position), if it isn't detected at all or if it doesn't work, revert to a vanilla installation and try launching the game to see if it actually works like that at least. That's what happens when you don't use a mod ss up a little, insignificant single detail and stuff stops working entirely.
